About the Bard

“My name is [Phil Collins] and I think this band is top notch sick.”

-Phil Collins did not say that…yet

Bardsman is a folk rock music project from Utah started by Cody Moulton in 2018. Merging the power of storytelling with the sound of music, Bardsman aims to tell a story that captures the imagination and transports listeners to another time.

The combination of the unique steel string ukulele, rock style drums, and multiple percussion instruments truly gives Bardsman a sound and approach to songwriting unheard of anywhere else.

Inspired by Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Brandon Sanderson books, and perhaps most notably, Dungeons & Dragons, Bardsman tells stories of knightly heroes, villainous dragons, epic battles and more.

While Bardsman’s music is full of adventure, it is laced with humor and sarcasm, making the listening experience engaging and supposedly funny at times. All songs are written and performed by Cody Moulton.
